PROFESSIONAL MEDICAL PEDICURE
What is a medical pedicure?
A medical pedicure in London at City Foot Health is a thorough overhaul of your feet
performed only by an HCPC registered podiatrist. The medical pedicure
treatment is a non-invasive treatment provided at our foot clinic that ensures both the health and beauty of your feet. Notably, a medical pedicure combines all elements of our special podiatry services with the safe removal of corns, calluses, hard and dry skin.
What happens during a medical pedicure?
The podiatrist performing medical pedicures will initially exam the feet before carrying out the treatment. Once completed, the medical pedicure involves the safe removal of corns, calluses, and hard, dry skin. The podiatrist will then follow this with a routine pedicure where toenails are cut, shaped, and buffed, together with a
cuticle treatment and deep exfoliation. Nails are then treated with a nail serum made
right here at City Foot Health. This is then followed by a foot cream application.
Our medical pedicure treatment leaves your feet looking and feeling healthy, attractive, and revitalized. The procedure is performed on a dry foot to ensure exceptionally long-lasting results and uses a range of professional foot products to suit the patient’s skin type.
We recommend a Medical Pedicure every 8-10 weeks for happy and healthy
feet.
Benefits of a medical pedicure
In contrast to a regular pedicure, a medical pedicure in London at City Foot Health uses specialised instruments to achieve the deep exfoliation needed of a medical pedicure. All instruments are sterilized within our ultrasonic bath and treated in our autoclave at 134 degrees. The tools used in a salon pedicure will be sterilized in bright blue barbicide or a similar product.
Also, because a medical pedicure is performed on dry feet, there is no risk of
infection arising from a shared footbath. Hygiene or sanitation standards cannot
always be guaranteed in popular nail salons, but they can at our London headquarters. With a higher turnover, standards at nail salons tend to decrease and the likelihood of fungal infections, cross-contamination, or
ingrown nails (due to poor cutting) increases.
Medical pedicures have long-lasting results! Be sure to moisturize every night and you’ll enjoy healthy and gorgeous feet for up to 8-10 weeks after your medical pedicure in London has been completed.
